So I have been reading through an animal anatomy book to see what it is I can learn from it. It is amazing what I can learn :)...I mostly wanted to learn to draw the faces and stuff. In any case, The first chapter devoted to an actual animal, not a list of general tips for drawing animals, is about lions. This turned out AMAZINGLY well in my opinion and I look forward to continuing to improve on other species.

Just about everything in this drawing came from random places. A friend suggested a tribal look with a loincloth and a girl that saw my drawing while I was in the middle of working suggested that I put fire in his paws, thus he became the lion fire bender!

I know many lion lovers out there and I hope they are not disappointed by this attempt :)
