Effects lasting depends on the amount of damage the barrier receives, it can break but he can make more although it consumes his energy so the more he needs to make the more tired he becomes, barriers that don't get broken can be reabsorbed to save energy) therefor he is bullet prof, can take big hits such as car crashes and stopping them like a wall, while fighting he takes no damage from hitting hard things or opponents since the barrier can be used like a glove, can also be used like shoes so he can walk on fire, glass, nails, etc.
