[F] switching to the eurovision hype mode
i missed nearly all of the previous days but currently watching final and getting auper excited for these three!
I’m especially proud for Manizha, it’s so great to see such a powerful message from your home contestant. But Måneskin and Go_A is surely my favourites too, such a unique performances just blew my mind

i love the fact that the costumes does have a meaning too - from what I've seen in interviews, the first one is a reference to a traditional dress, and it's have been made from a little patches that other women sent to Manizha from all over the country, representing diversity and solidarity. and second being more resemble of a uniform suit, representing the working class.
and i am overall very happy with this year's, the winners are finally someone i personally rooted for, and lots of contestants with an actually unique and talented performances did got their recognition from viewers! i honestly enjoyed lots of songs this year.

Yeah thats what i loved about the ESC since i first watched it when i was 15!
And i still love it now - Theres so much diversity and unique style in music and the artists presenting it!
The show itself is made so entertaining as well!
The first traditional outfit was funny! She looked like a Matroshka.
when she started to move around in it - i lost it! x3
But yeah, the different outfits are really representing the different cultures in russian society - and society in general!
Its great to see artists performing their feelings through music, especially in countries like russia, where there's still a very traditional role model of men and women !
We NEED that so badly.
One Luv

i didn't watch Eurovision this much before, only saw properly last two years, but I definitely feel somehow nostalgic about it all. A very wholesome and exciting feeling.
and yeah, i certainly agree! I feel like there was a lot of good messages this year about acceptance, non-conforming of a 'standards', being proud of your experiences, etc. Italy, Maltha, Norway, you name it (and the songs is so good on its own!) as for russia is just was the closest to me personally ~

Yeah i missed out since 2012... didnt watch it for so long, i dont even know why.
But i definitely will watch it again from now on :3
I absolutely agree with you on the nostalgic part!
To me its like the songs are really timeless and far from what you hear in the charts
(at least most songs) and that makes it so unforgettable.
I like the positivity that comes with it, just like you said, there were lots of good messages in the songs! Thats great because it's like all people from europe are coming together for one night to share and feel the emotions :)
