Bennus met Jason at a nearby Umgi alehouse. It was still early in the afternoon and thankfully only a couple of other patrons were inside. The two ordered beer and sat down to chat. Bennus kept marveling at the size of the Human, he was no Orc but he sure was well built.
There was an awkward moment of silence until the Human spoke, causing an internal sigh of relief from the Dwarf.
"So, tell me about yourself, Bennus was it? Did I pronounce it right?" the Umgi seemed much more comfortable in this situation then he was.
"Aye, tis correct, I'm from the Whitestone Clan, moved here a couple months ago for work, you?"
The Human paused, taking a long sip from his drink. His eyes seemed to look far away for a moment.
"I'm in the army, I also moved here recently, don't really know anybody, guess that's why I... well, why we're here, I don't usually get out much, not that I mind being here" Bennus was surprised to see the Human become flustered for a moment, it was adorable.
"Well, if you like we can be right good friends" Bennus smiled his most charming smile.
Jason smiled back, he held out his drink towards the dwarf.
"Well, here's to good meetings, cheers"
Bennus smashed his drink against the Humans, hard enough to almost break the mug, blast it he kept forgetting the Umgi used glass!
"Thorok Cherum!" He toasted back
"So what's next, the day is still young innit?" Asked Bennus without thinking too much.
Jason paused, studying the dwarf with a bemused expression on his face.
"Well, we can go hang out at my place if you want...."
Bennus was so happy he could have exploded.
