this is a pic of two scratch boards i... scratched that i submitted in my AP Studio Art College Portfolio. the images are based from the anime series Naruto. the image on the left(first) is a scratch board i did depicting the 9 tailed demon fox spirit that lives in Naruto. and the second image on the right(last) is another scratch board i did depicting of Naruto when the power of the 9-tailed demon fox spirit is awakened inside Naruto and he begins to transform.

i really wanted to capture the monstrosity of the demon fox, and show that naruto was being possesed by a power greater than his own!! I also added another thing to the image of Naruto. i took the scratch tool and heavily tore some areas to give it a ripped/tear look to it. i wanted to depict his skin being ripped to shreds, as if the demon fox was clawing it's way slowly out of Naruto!

this was really REALLY difficult for me to do!! when i draw, it has to be perfect otherwise i erase everything and tht takes me forever. but with scratch boards, once you make a scratch you cant erase it!!!!! however i am content with how it turned out. it was a decent job for being my first time doing scratch boards lol
