Whyt does everyone put a ring in their nose? That isn't a fashion statement. The rings are used as a method of control. The nose is tender. A ton of bull does not like his nose pulled on. So if you have the ring you have control of the animal.
I don't see taurns, minotaurs, or any kind of cattle people willingly putting rings in their noses in that fashion.
