Pieces of my clothing hung about in the sand, torn and frayed along with my snapped sunglasses and the crushed can that brought this all on me. My face was a pointed saber with a bizarre cranial fin, and fan like ear fins. I was a swordfish, though a seamonster-kind. I didn't look like one of of those merman swimmin around in the Little mermaid, and to be honest i didn't feel like one either. I Didn’t have long to stare at my warped bodywhen at last my lungs changed over, and nearly gagging for air, I tried to flip over and drag myself to the ocean. I thought about what going into that ocean meant, for my whole life and as I struggled to make into the salty waters, a great wave came and knocked me down hard. I was not used to this fish body, and being out water was not making it easy to learn. Thrown off balance, I mercifully allowed the undertoe to wash me into the ocean.

And it's a full circle. I've been dying to remake this series for a long time. I did a few sketches here and there, but these five stood out, and I altered them a little to make em into a sequence, and viola. The older sequence is no longer on da, it was really really old. This is the first of actually two changes he goes through, the second is much less drastic and will probably be done in two pages in the near future.

This whole sequence originally came from a misspelling in AIM of "oh noes" when I wrote "oh nose" and that turned into this idea, back in '06.
