After leaving the mines Dugun encounters a hooded figure under the fading sunlight. And he offered Dugun a choice to end his endless form shifting. Dugun took his offer, and the talisman to end the curse.

What the hooded shaman didn't tell Dugun is that he was an orc, working for their leader. He wanted to test his augmentation talismans on humans, to increase the race's numbers.

Dugun's lunar cycle ended, but he gained a much greater curse.
