Now another thing, I am opposed to most ocs..not just female ones not just tf2 ones.. I don't like the bishonen wimpy guys that people create and I don't like the furry ones. So really no one is safe XDD but there are some I really like, like chemicalalias http://chemicalalia.deviantart.com/ stuff is well thought out and rendered, I-french-fry did a brilliant break down of making an engineer counterpart http://celestial298.deviantart.com/.....ites/#/d25u6kp she captured every element and it’s just fantastic.
Trust me there are pinup style female tf2 characters all over the internet that I just love XDDD I’m a confusing person. There are some exceptions trust me there are plenty of tf2 fan works I do enjoy and some that I really don't *coughnerfnow!coughahemcuogh*
These are just sort of guidelines I'm giving you to try and optimize your characters. I know a lot of people base their characters on themselves cause they have hard-ons for the characters and that's creepy XD but they still can't carry a gun! So try again! Yes, these are horrible. But what I find more horrible is all the gay parings. Sure, I don't mind the whole "lol medic x heavy" but some parings are just... why? HOW DOES THIS WORK.

It is unfunny to you. but not the 600+ watchers between here and DA who find it a riot.
Furthermore taking logic into character creation is not a bad suggestion. These are just "suggestions" for people who want to improve their OC's to make them more believable. Valve took a nice long time developing characters that were functional and interesting, I just though that some fan characters could use the same treatment is that so much to ask? Trust me i have had plenty of people who disagreed with things seen here and I commended them and told them that I was not trying to stump their creativity only improve it if they so choose to take my advise. And again THIS IS NOT SUPER SERIOUS!!!!!!!!! IT'S JUST A FREAKING JOKE CHART THAT HAS SOME TRUTH BEHIND IT if one chooses to take it seriously then I honor that decision and if someone doesn't oh well.
And going back to before no this is not like sonic this is a Valve game that was developed with lots of research and development. Sonic oc's are based on something that is already illogical so the oc's therefor would also be illogical so it would fit with the genre no problem, and would require little to no thinking. "Oh hes a hedgehog that's blue and can run fast!!! I'm gonna make a green sloth that runs fast toooooo!" even though sloths are slow who the fuck cares its sonic!!!! nothing really makes sense!!

I'm sorry but, they're taking something too seriously? While you're the one getting your panties in a bunch over a satirical comic strip? Really?

Bad character design is bad character design, regardless of whether or not you use the fact that the subject matter is unrealistic as an excuse to get away with it. While approaching the source material from something like Sonic leads you directly to poorly designed characters, the people in charge of Team Fortress 2's art direction weren't having any of that. Stylization in an art style doesn't mean you can be completely unrealistic and still have a strong character design, and this is the kind of approach that built the critically acclaimed character designs in TF2 that - whattaya know - just so happen to follow most of the guidelines outlined in this satirical strip.

Do people really make themselves TF2 characters like that? I mean I use mods, My pyro mod is even up there, the girl in the bikini top. I know it's not practical, it's not supposed to be in the case of the game, it's just senseless fun. Just like my Heavy Weapons guy is a friggin' bear, and my medic is wearing a ghostbusters outfit.

What happens is basically girls (mainly) make what is commonly known as a Mary sue, in which case they make a perfect character that they can personify there own lust for the characters of a series. ThisOc will be irresistible and usually more powerful then characters already in the series. These girls basically base the characters off of themselves having the character interact with the ones in the series the way they themselves would. In most cases the creators are 13 year old girls..so we end up with 13 year old girl characters who are magically battle doctors and shit. That's what I meant by them putting themselves into the character.
As for the rest of your comment, yes i understand that some figures are just for fun and what not that is perfectly acceptable :) First off this chart is not supposed to be taken super serious but it is a good set of guidelines one could use if they were to be serious about creating a functional female OC for the tf2 universe :)
And alot of the time people make excuses and it's pathetic. But That's my opinion. XD

This made me lol... Really loud in fact. My mom thinks something is wrong with me now. XD I get your point there. My character is about 15 and is a tf2 medic. There is reasoning there, though, because she has the mind of an adult. If... That is reasoning... If your character has a loophole like that it counts as fair, right? XD my friend is 21 he plays as the spy. He has NO LOGIC! NO LOGIC!!
