Old OCs from back when I was into MLP. (Kinda lost interest in the show. Maybe I'll go back to it one day.) I haven't drawn any of these girls in years. Redesigned some of them a little bit.
Who they are:
(Top left) Autumn Moon: Sainted Singer
Sweet, caring, selfless.
Age: 22
Autumn was raised by a caring mother and an uncaring father. Fortunately her mother was more than capable of raising her on her own. She was brought up being taught to always stay good. No matter how hard life may get, always strive to be a good person. Autumn tries her best to take that advice to heart and always stay on the straight and narrow. Her entire world fell apart on the day her father, in a drunken rage, killed her mother. After her father was arrested, she couldn't bear to stay in that house anymore and decided to leave her home of Trottingham and pursue her dream of becoming a famous singer in Canterlot. Though, her true hope was that by making it big in the music industry, she might get to meet the idol that gave her such inspiration: Octavia Philharmonica.
(Top middle) Opal Dreams: Fractured Starlet
Friendly, insightful, uncertain.
Age: 27
Having a talent for both singing and writing, Opal used her skills to become famous and successful. After quitting a garage band founded by her ex-marefriend, Opal decided to go solo and made it big in the music industry. Her first album, 'Lost In Paradise' went triple-platinum and solidified her as a coveted rock star. In her second album, 'Wide Awake' she decided to switch to more pop songs rather than rock, and the change was well received. After this, Opal took a break from music to focus on writing. After getting permission from the alicorn rulers of Equesria, (Particularly, Twilight Sparkle) she wrote the fictional war story, 'Tyranny of a Corrupt Monarch'. Soon after this, Opal was faced with tragedy at the sudden discovery of her marefriend's suicide. Though grief soon turned into inspiration and she eventually released her third album, 'Say You'll Haunt Me', filled entirely with songs dedicated to her late lover. Unfortunately, Opal faced a bit of controversy over this album considering it's subject matter. Many fans accused her of using her marefriend's death to make a profit. Even the parents of her marefriend couldn't help but think this to be the case. After the backlash, Opal took a step back from the spotlight and decided to move to Ponyville for a while. While there, she met a few ponies who made her re-think her way of life and question whether or not it was a good idea to continue it. One of the ponies she met ended up becoming very special to her, and though she knew she could never replace her lost love in her heart, she found a way to make room for somepony else. The two of them even recorded a song together for Opal's upcoming album. Her fourth album took longer to come out than any one before it. She struggled a lot with what direction she actually wanted to go in, and still questioned whether a life of fame and fortune was really a life she still wanted to live. But after a while, she finally came to a decision. She would retire from the music industry and this album would be her last. The title: 'End of the Dream'.
(Top right) Nightshade Sparkle: Daughter of Corruption
Determined, ruthless, vengeful.
Age: 33
From the fictional story Tyranny of a Corrupt Monarch, Nightshade is one of three daughters of Twilight Sparkle, queen of Equestria. When Twilight started her evil reign over the empire, one of the first things she did was murder her own husband. Nightshade loved her father dearly and swore to make Twilight pay, not only for his death, but for causing torment and terror to the countless denizens of Equestria, and also for making her feel genuinely unloved by her mother her whole life. Nightshade swears to take down Twilight, not just to save the land, this is personal.
(Bottom far left) Lisabeth Notes: Metal Diva
Determined, daring, ferocious.
Age: 29
No backstory.
(Bottom left) Neon Voltage: Exotic Dancer
Flirtatious, confident, outgoing.
Age: 26
Neon always had an interest in dancing, tending to lean more toward provocative and sensual types of dances. Didn't have much confidence as a foal, mostly due to her assigned gender at birth. But gained much confidence once that was corrected and she could finally express on the outside what she felt so strongly within.
(Bottom right) Stardust Flora: Unexpressive Sister
Attentive, distant, complex.
Age: 11
Stardust found her sister's corpse in her bedroom wardrobe. Soon after, she noticed the diary on the desk, and read the suicide note. The section addressed to her read: "I know you're sad, but like all things, that too will pass." Since Stardust keeps her emotions hidden, it's difficult to say whether or not her sadness has truly passed.
(Bottom far right) Rosebud Flora: Departed florist
Quiet, reserved, depressed.
Age: Died at 22. Would be 27 if alive.
Rosebud dealt with major depression from a young age, which led to her eventual suicide. She left behind grieving parents, a mourning marefriend, and a sister unsure of how to even understand what led her to kill herself. Her marefriend knew of her depression, but didn't realize how bad it truly was. Rosebud's memory still lives on in those she left behind, who think about her every day.
