The quiver violently lurched itself out of Chris’s stomach and into his abdomen. In shock he blurted a noise that was some odd combination of a human yelp and a horse whinny. The source of his pain, and sudden exclamation were two small but rapidly growing knobs of flesh jutting from his abdominal region. They were the same color of hair as the rest of his body, and as the forced their way out of him, he could see them developing hard dark rings around the end. They looked like hooves.
