As his body hit the ground, it became lighter. Chris could feel his enormous muzzle shrink back, and his arms regained their lost strength. Fingers broke free of his hooves, the black regions void of sense retreating to his fingertips. As his brain grew he noticed he had only four fingers, as his thumbs grew into position from his shrinking hands. His gut lessened, as did his immense neck and his shoulders and chest shifted backward to a humanoid shape. His mane now greatly reduced finally shrank to spiky tufts of hair. His knees took shape again, though his hooves on the back yet remained, as if by magic a loincloth appeared to cover his groin as soon as he became aware he was naked.

He can't get to his feet, as his body is still aligned as a quadruped, though his center of gravity is shifting, and he's beginning to recover himself.
