The mane grew, as his neck lengthened and widened. His teeth flattened and grew with his enlarging jaw and reshaping face. He tried to call out for help, but his words were stolen by a long whinny that escaped, signifying his loss of speech. His hands had completely degraded into hooves, his shoulders moving to the bottom of his chest, as his bones shift.
Barely human, his arms were now forelegs, with horse hair to match. His legs too were now mostly equine. His feet had become long, and his toes were now motionless hooves. His thighs and new hindquarters had destroyed his pants. His tail now swished unsettlingly involuntarily. His entire lower body was in shape and form mostly that which belonged to a horse.
Finally as his center of gravity shifted to his stomach and his barreling chest, Chris’ body could no longer support it. Memories of his life and his family still swam in his mind, though he’d forgotten many things. He held up as long as he could, neighing as his legs-hind legs failed and brought him down on all fours.
