As he searched a wave of anguish crashed over him like a tsunami inside his body. His spine suddenly ached, at both his rear end and his neck. The shock caused Christoph to drop the apple. As the crimson fruit hit the ground, his muscles began to ache, a sensation he’d dealt with before, just on days after his workouts, and never in the intensity that he now felt. Chest, arms, legs neck all burned, while his gut felt as though it were doing somersaults.
What followed made him feel something was wrong. His face was torn with various discomforts, as if someone was pulling on his nose and lips, while someone else squished his head and yanked his ears. As he gulped and tried to feel his face, he saw his fingertips darken and swell, his ring finger on both hands lost all feeling. Similar things happened to his toes and the feeling began to drain from them. And Chris could feel a discomfort in the seat of his pants, as though a piece of him was being forced out of his body.
