Cal is this weird amalgamation of a dragon and something else entirely.
In his earlier days in the facility when he was held for examination he was less compliant, especially if he was held in containment.
He had trouble keeping his form and would often break down into the black, inklike liquid.
He eventually managed to break free and got himself involved with Tybercorp, growing less erratic and more obedient to those he's loyal to.
