Depression is hanging about me and those I care about, and I just can't seem to shift it.
For me or anyone else...I feel like a burden on them. I shouldn't exist.
All I do is drag people down with my mood and my mental illnesses.
Trying to keep a mask and a smile on my face is hard.
I feel like a failure in everything i'm doing.
I hate everything about myself.
I'm failing as a friend, a partner and a functioning member of my family.
Money, Health...everything.
I never learned how to cope with life, never able to learn basic things in school and college.
It hurts. I won't lie.
Everything hurts, mind, soul and body.
I'm a failure.

You're not a failure. Many of these, especially your health, is outside your control. And when health is bad, everything gets knocked aside as well. You're doing your best to go through life with the cards you've been dealt with.
Is there room for improvement? Change? Of course, there always is. But that's a work in progress. From what I've seen of late, you've made a lot of that lately already. Sometimes, we will take a step back before we can go two steps ahead.
