Name: Dugun Tratsodero
Age: 21
Height: 5’ 7” (Were-rat form: stands 5’ 3”;)
Weight: 167 lbs (Were-rat form: 193lbs )
Hair Color: Dirty Blonde
Eye Color: Blue
Marital status: Single
Ethnicity: Human/Elf Hybrid (Were-rat)
Likes: Hunting, wood carving, folklore, storytelling, hazelnut spread and fishing.
Dislikes: The full moon, cats, zombies, replacing or stitching his clothing back together after shifting, and black magic users.
Nicknames: Ratso or Dug.
Appearance:
(Human) On the short side for an elf, he has a muscular build, dirty blonde hair, that he finds untamable. He also has shorter squatter ears than most, and he wears a small sterling silver earring in his left ear. He his clothing consists of an open green vest, bleached cotton pants, dark brown leather gauntlets and boots. His scabbard and pants belt are both organic material. He has a short sword that he uses for hunting, and for defensive purposes. He has no facial hair, as he can’t grow any due to his elf blood.
(Were-rat) His hair color remains the same, except in this form he sports a thick pelt of gray hair, a rodent like face, whiskers and irregularly shaped teeth. His feet are digigrade like a rat’s and both his hands and feet end in claws. His spine juts out into a long hairless rat-tail that can be used as a weapon. His body is shorter and more muscular than his elf form, and the changes in his anatomy have destroyed much of his pants and boots, but he keeps them on, replacing them when he changes back.
Personality: Dugun is a confident person, to the point of being arrogant. He tends to be sneaky in his dealings with people, hence the nickname, “Ratso”. He has a tendency to be ill-mannered towards members of the opposite gender, but his transformation has helped alleviate that flaw somewhat. He is however a man of his word, and verbal promises and oaths are incredibly crucial to him.
History: Dugun Tratsodero was born to his mother Martà Tratsodero, and an unknown human male. He was born a result of a one-night stand with a stranger many believe his shorter height and squat ears are indicative of a his mother’s liaison with a human). His mother managed to support him, by taking up many jobs in the village, and he helped when he was of age, eventually gathering enough to put himself in basic education classes. He took up a hunting career with the village elders, and ended up successful in his field.
He also joined a group of vigilantes who protected the town at night from monsters, many supernatural creatures haunted the marshes to the south of his village, which is where the group centered. One of the most dangerous spirits that stalked the down was the banshee, unfortunately for Dugun, he happened to find her one cold full-moon night. He destroyed her, but she cursed him making him a Were-rat.
Originally he thought it was a permanent curse, but he discovered it was linked to the full moon. Every full-moon he would transform into the rat form, and he had to remain that way until the following morning. Exposure dark energy, as well as beings created by it can change his form.
In midst of his metamorphosis, he met a traveler named Ygleon Bohir, who underwent a series of troubling transformations himself, and the two became friends and travelling companions. They found a secret monastery in the deeper parts of the forest, and the Abbot Brother Ivan discovered the complexities of his curse, and a possible remedy, (as well as exorcizing the witch soul haunting Ygleon). He sent the two on a journey to adesolated human town, [link]
silver mines in the fiery north, a dangerous river and onto a cursed realm ruled by a mad hamadryad.
Relations: Mother: Martà Tratsodero, Father: unknown
Powers/Forms:
He has two forms, his normal elf form and his Were-rat form. In his elf form he has a heightened awareness to ghosts and monster, and a decent self-healing process, but no longevity. His rat form does not have the healing process, but he has heightened physical senses.
Weapons/ items:
He carries a small blade, no special powers or designs. He has a small oil lantern that he keeps with him normally, but is not pictured here. In his left and right boots respectively, he keeps flint and steel for lighting fires.
Double Ref for Dugun, I’d originally tried to make it more comprehensive with images of his oil lantern, flint and steel for fire and his sword, but it was lame so it got pitched. It’s been a while since I did the originals [link] and [link]
, you can see his attitude has somewhat dulled from shock to complacency in the rat side.
The size reference is about right, Rat Dugun can’t stand taller than he is now, or he’d fall over.
