Just by looking at her, most students and newer faculty members don't realize that Ms. Fancy, the school's head librarian, is almost a legend her own right from her time as a student and team member of Reginald Foxtale's some years before though they've very likely seen her image in the Hall of Heroes in the school's central administration building. It isn't until they need her services as the school's head armourer that they even have a clue of her true capabilities. Jennifer is fully knowledgable in all manner of weapons and technologies from stone knives and axes up to dreadnaught battlestarships. She could very likely be the school's most effective combat and tactical instructor if she weren't so organized and necessary in her current position. It's very likely that being exposed to Jennifer's knowledge and experience influenced her foster daughter Kymberlyn Fancy's decision to double major in Weapon Combat and Magic, as much as the young zebra's desire to impress Reynard Foxtale. She also serves as an unofficial counselor to many students over a variety of issues, both academic and personal, once they get to know her. While Jennifer often feels the urge to dress in combat gear and head into the field with a team of students, she knows her current position is just as necessary to their being properly prepared to meet the dangers those students will face during their education and beyond and she wears her "stuffed shirt" uniform of head librarian/armourer with a great measure of satisfaction and a bit of justifiable pride.
