Nightshade is a 3,287,116 year old female ctralan. (kuh-trawl-uhn) She is benevolent.
If her species is to be fathomed by the mortal mind, she is some sort of cross between a serpent and a whale. Like the rest of her kind, she is a native of the universe itself and has no real place to call home.
Her maximum speed is 32,000x the speed of light. Her eyes are configured in a way that she can adjust and zoom in to see any part of the entire universe at any time from anywhere. She has the power to create and move black holes, create and exterminate stars, galaxies, planets, nebulae, and many other astral and cosmic phenomena.
In a way, ctralans are the guardians of the universe. However, not all of them are civil, nor do good things with their powers. They are just as clueless as humans are about how the universe came to be or what their purpose in life is, if they have one. They just showed up around the time of the Big Bang. They do have to mate to reproduce. The average life-span of a ctralan is 26 million years.
I felt like doing something creative all my own and so I did it. ^_^
