Normally I prefer to draw my own references, but this was a more complicated body than what I was used to I doing, especially since I didn't know how the body would be handled. Thankfully Floraskelechan was willing to work with me, and after some back and fourths we got things figured out.
Marquis Mausolée is a mystical skeleton who traveled the world and lurked in the shadows with the power to enter the bodies of unsuspecting humans and hijack them for his own amusement. He would eventually meet Gretchen and try the same thing on her, but unfortunately for him things backfired. Gretchen remained in complete control while Marquis was stuck inside her still conscious, and she tormented him for a week or two.
After finally letting him out and getting to know him over the time he was trapped inside of her, Gretchen decided he was amusing, and decided to force him to be her personal maid. He's been stuck living in Gretchen's residence ever since, though he doesn't mind since now he has a place to put all his stuff and he gets to wear a cute maid get up.
Marquis is a very feminine male and often tries to make himself look elegant and mysterious, but instead comes across as eccentric and even somewhat flamboyant. He can be quite vain, but also a total flirt with a rather twisted (if not morbid) sense of humor. He loves cross dressing be it merely wearing pretty clothes, wearing a full skin suit/costume, or taking over some one else's body. He can also be incredibly cold and selfish; seeing most flesh-and-blood beings as tools for his amusement. Generally he will be polite and friendly, but his creepy more sadistic side can come out when he finds some one of personal interest.
Other character notes:
Marquis is French (Hence the name).
Marquis stands at 5'11" (180.3 cm) but can adjust his size/shape to a certain extent. He can even slightly change certain aspects of his own body, albeit within strict limitations.
Marquis's nickname is "Marquette" due to how feminine he can be.
As of now it's undecided if Marquis is a monster that was skeletal to begin with, or started off as a human before having his bones revived and altered via necromancy.
The texture of Marquis Bones is different from regular bones. They feel more like hard plastic mixed with rubber, allowing things like his face to change expressions and his butt to be squeezable. (Don't ask.)
Despite being a skeleton, Marquis can still eat and drink (with out any food/drink spilling).
Marquis enjoys drinking milk (Since obviously it's good for the bones) but really loves drinking wine.
Marquis favorite snack are Macarons.
Marquis enjoys fancy cuisine of all kind.
Marquis can perfectly mimic anyone's voice so as long as he's listened to their voice long enough.
When Marquis isn't doing maid work or going out causing trouble for mortals, he often just lounges around, hence why he's often seen in his robe.
Marquis lives in a giant walk-in-closet within Gretchen's home. (Despite him being a feminine "Skeleton in the closet" surprisingly I didn't get the idea from Scary God Mother. By the time I got the idea for this concept, I hadn't seen it yet.)
Aspects of his face were inspired by Fantina/Melissa (Pokemon Diamond and Pearl), Hellen Gravely (Luigi's Mansion 3) and Naga the Serpent (Slayers).
