Do you mean the V-22 Osprey? Well, the US copied this technology from the Russian and modified it, but the Osprey weren't this big as this Vintokryl.

yes it is smaller but the intent if for small unit raids like recon navy seals etc. but the V-22 osprey "despite rumors" works quite well... after they got the bugs out.
