I was just foolin' on the piano when I thought "Hmm, this might be a good time to start recording" and so this came out when I was sort of trying to get someething for an avantgarde tone-poem kind of thing based on the play Equus I want to try to do, but this came out.
I was pretty hardpressed for a name when I got around to saving it. It took me a long while. At first, I thought maybe "Golgi Apparatus" just because. And then I thought I could try to do a concept with a bunch of songs and start with "lead" (this) and go to "gold" but then I abandoned that idea too. And then I went to literature for a title, at which point I found Leopold von Sacher-Masoch.(Venus in Furs is actually a very good book, by the way)...And then that idea fell through because I decided "A Testament to Cain" sounded stupid.... Uh... How about "flagellate"? Fuck it, it needs a title, that'll do...
