Small preds need a way to overpower larger prey. Unnatural strength, magic, trapping the prey in a narrow tunnel, that sort of thing.

Without any of those there's no way a little bear could swallow struggling prey twice her size.

Luckily, she has help. Pinned under a second young bear who's stuffed full of his own meal, all the woman can do is watch the maw descend. It's always darkest right before things go completely black.
