Took a buddy to Woodland Park Zoo the other day.

Wandering around. Nobody's seen the wolves for a while. We slip past their enclosure, meander elsewhere, come back past again. We're on our way off, suddenly I poke my friend, "there's one." This one came out of the trees just long enough for us to eye each other. Raise camera to eye.

There are certain moments in photography that stand out for being zen. Moments when you've made the mental connection with your model, into your art, into the light, into the moment. This was one.
