Now we get a glimpse into Dweller reproduction, and a reason why we haven't seen any dweller girls so far. Dweller women are much rare than male Dwellers.

Female dwellers have on overwhelming urge to reproduce, they get restless and outright depressed unless they're pregnant. Fetal development is done after 2-3 months, so they can give birth anew every couple of months. Dwellers often come in twins & triplets as well. (Hershel is an exception, he was a single birth.) Considering that rapid reproduction rate dweller women usually have no other job than to raise the next generation of dwellers. They take several husbands and have a couple of (male) nannies to help them out. Dweller kids don't always know who their blood father is, all dads have an equal share in raising them

By the by, young dwellers don't have that prey urge yet, it develops during puberty alongside their regular sex drive.
