Biography -
My parents knew I was different the moment I was born. I was playing with the gears in my childhood toys until they broke, but I figured out how to repair them by age 6. Ten years later, my father took me on as an assistant for his repair shop. Well, the original plan was for me to take over the business when he retired, but things were already getting stale within the first year.
Enter Shane Laud, a scrawny ferret with a knack for causing trouble. He needed someone that can take things apart without damaging the components inside and the naïve cat behind the counter leapt at the chance to tinker with new tech. We were reprogramming ATMs before we could legally drink and even that didn’t stop us from swiping a few bottles here and there. I don’t remember much else before or immediately after my accident, but I’ve been told that it’s better for me not to.
Why did you join the Order? -
The Order is the only reason I’m still alive right now. Rather than discard us like trash, the Order realized that Shane and I had potential. There were entire planets of unfamiliar tech for me to tinker with, so I leapt at the opportunity given. Even Shane turned a new leaf, now using his genius for good. He’s been my rock for the longest time, routinely checking in to see how I’m doing… I want to show him how much he means to me…

*After a traumatic incident destroyed approximately 37% of her body, Janette Benign was assimilated into a standard issue utility droid. Several illegal modifications were performed to better-resemble Janette’s original form, but all charges were dropped. Henceforth, Janette Benign is classified as a cyborg with all rights and privileges of an organic being.
