I raise sheep and not going to lie this happens sometimes; you'll have one mom who wants nothing to do with their babies and another who loves on all babies. It's weird.

I sometimes watch SheepishlyMe on Youtube and she does have some thief ewes.
From what i understand, if another ewe cleans the lamb off the real mom doesnt connect with the lamb? Maybe it has something with smell to do?
Either way, yeah, its weird.

That might happen. Sometimes it's just something about the new lamb the mom doesn't like.

We've had it where two moms pop right next to each other and just love on both so we put both in the same jug. Or we have it where if one mom doesn't love the lamb and another mom is birthing so we slather the unloved baby with the other mom's after birth and sometimes the new mom takes the baby.

I'm dyslexic and I swear to god I thought you said "slaughter the unloved baby" and was like omg 😨

Trust me I love all my babies. This year alone I nearly have ten bottle babies, none are unloved let alone slaughtered.
