House of Malatesta

The house of Malatesta stands on a hill,
It's the home of ill omen - come in if you will.
Mr. Malkinard Malatesta's house is located in the mountaineous area of heathen Armrau. This two-stored mansion is badly worn by time and hard to find. I had to get my mind off some IRL things, so I once again started doodling crummy stuff. The horse is Amac, Malek's purdy little thing. I guess he got frightened by something he saw in the fog.

A contest, eh? Hmmm. I've only once entered a contest... I happened to win it, but it was a very small one anyway. And quite practical one too, 'cause I had to draw a mascot for this one sports-related happening.
This was pretty easy to colour, because I drew the stuff on rough paper and tweaked the levels so that the lineart was as dark as possible. Then I just smacked some dark colour on it. I thought that the outcome was a bit splotchy, but maybe the concept makes it acceptable. =)
Heh, anyways, its great as always!
But seriously speaking, I can see what you mean. I tried to make the house remesemble a Normandic mansion. Some of the houses in Oblivion also have panelling and roofs similar to the old gothic mansions in Pays d'Auge.
You're free to move in if you want. Of course you'd had to share the house with Rip, Malek, Malek's wife and a number of bastard children. And one mean horse. I'm not sure if it would be worth it on the long run. ^^
And horse, too.
Er, whatever those things are. Sounds like a mmorpg steed of some sort... =P
The way you got the house into the picture make it look like it's a reasonable distance back from the horse and the smudgy trees work very well with the fog.
It was a bit problematic to squeeze the house in as well. But the horse would've looked lonely without it.
Nice anatomy nonetheless, the musculatur is prima!
I have this one friend who knows a lot about horses. I'm sure that the next time she comes to visit me (she lives in England), she'll tell me everything that needs to be fixed with the horse's head. I'm pretty jealous of how good she is at horse anatomy.. =P
No treasures, though. Probably some skeletons in the basement. =)
but again nice work!
Ref pics would be great! You actually have horses of your own? That sounds pretty super.
