I imagine Venusaur's Vinewhips as looking like marigolds--like a ton of little petals, each one with jagged edges.

Dosnt venusaur have 4 whips! And is overly huge.

Cant help but remind of the Hunters from Left 4 Dead as they are about to pounce someone.

Maybe you could have Venusaur's vines with 5 points instead of 4. That way the bulbs would be bigger and more teeth per bite. I really love how stylized these are turning out. I can't wait to see how you tackle the Squirtle Line.

Instead of doing normal vines, why not do the attack "frenzy plant" type of vines? The ones with the large spikes.

Personally, adding tongues was overkill for the vines.

Having teeth on every individual stem, plus being completely prehensile provides more than enough grip for attacking.

Only thing I could think of tongues being used for is eating with his vines, which I don't think would be necessary, especially since he's supposed to be able to drop the vines from his host body at will, growing new ones in their place instantly.

Not that there is anything wrong with artistic freedom, since it feels like you added tongues for extra slobberyness. xD
