Hershel's boss is a Husher, snake people with some bird-like traits. This clan used to be pretty high ranking in the pre-Starvation days, they were closely in contact with the warlock rulers. Had administrative jobs, were allowed to send out troops and distribute resources as they saw fit. That elevated position gave them a haughty attitude, a lot of them still think themselves better than other clans.

Hushers are a sexless clan, they reproduce by splitting themselves in half. The split off tail end then grows into a new husher.
