Geotrupes stercorarius, a species of earth-boring dung beetle, known as Tordyvel here in Sweden. Definitely one of my favourite species, with a very beautiful glossy black carapace, and iridescent blue-to-violet highlights on the edges of the carapace, joints, legs, and belly. Very commonly found in the woods this time of year, running around looking for fresh dung they can drag home to their burrows. I didn't have my camera when I first found this one, so I put it in the breast pocket of my sweater for a while... Worry not, I released him right where I found him after the photo shoot was done XP
