Let me start off by saying: I really don't know any more details of what's going on here than you guys do. I have no idea who that veteran is, or why they're after my little foursome there. He does, but he didn't seem to want to share.

For a little backstory on this, these four characters have existed in my head in some form or another for a very long time. Some got more press than others, one of them never actually appeared in anything I've posted here (partly because one form was a forum RP and the other I actually can't find anymore). One day while bored at work, the bare bones of a description of these four characters just sort of... appeared on a scrap of paper over the course of the shift, and I decided to do something with it, which eventually led to this. The "briefing" here is just how it ended up sounding in my head.

The long and the short of the four characters described here is that they all represent different aspects of my own personality as I view it. Don't read too much into it, though, as most of it is very much an anything-but-literal representation, and sort of a stretch in some cases, but my mind tends to make some pretty strange leaps of logic through brief use of various "stepping-stone" thoughts, if that makes any sense whatsoever.
