I was in the Artist Den area and some other artist ahead of me told the remaining us (some people since it was like 1 or 2 in the morning) that her friend reported to her that some guy in the orange shirt fling himself down the steep stairs and there was cops and stuff. the next day, the area (best hangout too) was now closed and restricted to all FWA Attendees for the rest of the weekend.

I'm pretty sure this incident inspired the "Stumbles the Dragon" card in Room Party. The card's flavor text suggests it's a good idea to keep him away from stairs. He adds +1 Awesome to any party he's in, but destroys all the Booze and prevents any new Booze from being played in that party.

So, he evidently came back the next year to atone for his misadventures the preceding year. Honestly, I can understand how massive levels of drugs, combined with mental illness, youth, and the resulting series of social debacles of their own making, could ultimately incite someone to kill themselves at a convention. I guess I'm too empathetic due to my own tribulations and interpersonal faux pas to find this amusing at all. I hope he was able to continue being a furry without any barriers or obstructions.

Also, I hope at least a couple of the commenters did some reforming of their own in the interim. Holy shit, I thought Furry Twitter was cancerous...
