Of course you can xD <3 and like, what I normally do is sketch on paper, I use pen after sometimes so it doesn't smudge, and then if I want to color / touch it up digitally, I see a free art download program thingy called Gimp, or Krita is another decent option ^^

i done a bit the same ^^ i draw a traditionnal Sketch that i take a picture with my phone after when i want to draw it digitaly ,in fact i use my phone and my finger ,hehe ^^' i use app name Ibispaint (i put m'y picture here like a Sketch and do the Line and colors in ) who is a perfect app for draw something on your phone <3
