True story, while playing with these ingredients at work:
A plastic soda bottle filled with a bit of water.
Three dry ice pellets.
Soda bottle cap.
Well, I ended up breaking my thumb and being out of work for a month. It was my stupidity and I thus paid for my copay for the ER visit out of shame even though the job would have covered it. But the workman's comp paid for my visit to a specialist and my time off from work.
We all do stupid stuff now and then. But the thing is can you learn from this experience and never repeat it?
*has a phobia of dry ice bins now*

At least it wasn't because someone ELSE was stupid.
I had someone pull a truck away from a loading dock, while I was putting stuff in the truck. PLOP -- the loading plate fell down and I went right out the door and onto the pavement. There was also a ~1400Kg electric fork truck parked on the loading plate, and everything was slippery because it had been raining. Had the plate fallen another couple inches, the machine would've slipped out the door as well and turned me into pavement pizza.
Damn right I was yelling my head off. I only got a bruise, though.
