There were surely objections, though the gobblers had become so weak they had little choice but to accept the dwellers' assistance. Additionally to that their warlock overlords had abandoned them, during the Great Starvation they disappeared without a trace. That added to the overall chaos.
I was kind of getting the impression that during the whole opening of this comic that they were either killed off or cannibalized by the clans because of this unforeseen change in the dwellers or sometime during the great starvation they turned on each other which ended with them being murdered either by magic or cannibalized by the other warlocks π§ββοΈ?
Even though those warlocks π§ββοΈ were supposedly powerful by anyone standards in that world πππΊ I would have thought they might have have some kind of bodyguards from some of the clans that still followed them blindly couldβve been there along with them to see what happened during their final confrontation?
Is Lehmstadt really the only largest city πππ they have that world πππΊ or are there a few others that closely compare to it as well? Also were are all the other cities truly built on the focus π§ββοΈπ§ββοΈπ§ of coexistence or are there some that are mainly built for basically just either the gobblers and/or dwellers? It just seems to me that not a lot of the cities πππ might be built on the focus of unity with such such a pass between those two especially if they harbor a deep grudge from what happened in the past especially despite the fact that it was beyond anyoneβs control around that time Including with how much the warlocks π§ββοΈ were involved with everything when they still were around.
It's not the only city, just one of the biggest where gobblers & dwellers live together. In many smaller settlements gobblers tend to keep to their own clans. There are some dweller only settlements as well. Lehmstadt specifically founded the Department of Unity. Some cities followed that example though not all.
Would there be any clans in the day and age of that world πππΊ that still follow the traditional tribal setting like they use to do in the past? Also would they live close by to any of those cities πππ or will there be a bit of a distance involved between all of them so they could avoid any distraction thatβs brought about in that kind of modern civilization? I hope how Iβm asking the question πββοΈπββοΈπ makes sense I just want to understand how everything works after everything thatβs happened in the past with how the clans used to work to how they handle everything now since the warlocks π§ββοΈ are gone probably for good πππ.
A good number live in rural areas, with a minimum of modern commodities like electricity. They tend to grow crops & breed cattle that is eaten in the cities. While they aren't on high tech standards, they're not super poor either. And have a good relationship with the city governments (or run under the cities' laws altogether).
Then there's the very few settlements that still live primitive lives, almost stone age level, barely any tech or electricity. Their lifestyle remained on the hunter gatherer level. They don't stay much in contact with the cities and prefer to keep to themselves. They have their own laws, cities have given them basically autonomy to govern themselves.
