Here's another fanart, this time it's a crossover between Balan Wonderworld and NiGHTS into Dreams.

Summary: Long ago, the evil Wizeman the Wicked sought to take over Nightopia and the real world. To do this, he created the Nightmaren, a race of jester-like beings that are capable of flight, to collect the dream energy of sleeping visitors. However, Nights, one of the "level one" Nightmaren, rebelled against Wizeman's plans and was locked away inside the Ideya Palace for their troubles.

Of course, Wizeman will eventually get more than he bargained for when his attempt to corrupt the original Balan into a Nightmaren resulted in the creation of Lance, who proceeds to not only destroy Wizeman and but also transform the rest of the Nightmaren into the Negati. Afterwhich he created the current Balan to replace himself as Wonderworld's Maestro, unaware that he had given Nights the perfect means of escaping the Ideya Palace.
