Commission by  RedDragon Based on My Black Wolf Guild Discord Server. Looks like I’ve uncovered something that could lead me and the Black Wolf Guild to something grand.


I had just returned from a job taking out a bunch of bandits in the Green Plains. I got paid only half of what I was owed, mainly because I knocked over a tree that accidentally crushed a nobles house. Lucky for me, no one was inside, but I got yelled at by the family and made a run for it as the Lord tried to chase me. My grandpa gave me the lecture as usual.

I basically walked around Valenfall as usual and I walked to a large fountain that was in between the Black Wolf Guild and the Castle. I ate Cheese and Drank Mead like I usually do, then took a walk around the fountain. I normally look up at the town or the sky when I take my walk around, but this time I looked at the Fountain and saw a strange carving on the Fountains exterior stone.

The carving looked like Three Obelisk structures, with the middle one taller than the others. I rubbed my hand on the carving and pushed it in. Suddenly, the ground and the fountain started to shake and I quickly moved out of the way as the ground in front of the fountain where I was standing opened up into a flight of downward stairs.

I walked down the steps and entered what seemed like a stone hallway and the torches along the wall lit up. I grabbed a torch and walked down the hallway. I had to pull several levers that opened up hidden passages and walked down a few flights of steps until I opened up several stone walls and came to a door with the same Obelisk Symbols.

I used my Moon Magic to unlock the door and it slid open. I was stunned when I entered what looked like a Sanctuary that was Beneath Valenfall. I looked ahead and I saw a Display Case on the other end of the room. I hoped to find something unique, but I saw there was only a Book in the Display Case. The book was well preserved, but there was no name or title on the cover. I opened the cover and saw the title ‘Obelisk’.

I had to figure that this book came from the Kingdom of Obelsik, which was once said to be the greatest Empire in all of Xodia before it was destroyed by the Apocalypse thousands of years ago. I began reading the book and it mentioned a place called Dragon Fire Temple, which was said to be an Obelisk outpost. I closed the book and rushed back to the Guild to show the others what I Found. I had a Good feeling that this was the beginning of a Great Adventure for us.
