Fan-comic for Slavka, a character of the Sight, if you read the book you cans see how Slavka is very linked with a wolfish idea of communism ^^.
If you don't know them, the two humans are Marx and Engels, I study their philosphy so it's a little bit self-ironic.
Hope you like it.

Sorry, I have never read the book, but I like that you post political/philosophical things in your art, and I love your unique style. I have heard of Marx and Engels, but I usually whole-heartedly oppose their ideas of communism. I do think that Engels' idea of materialism was genius, and I need to read up on that. The only books I have read on philosophy so far are dusty textbooks from the sixties, but those were written in an unusual way: So, what book are you talking about?
Also, now that I read your description on this, I do think its kind of odd how it is easy to associate certain animals with politics. Wolf: Communism. By the way, do you have any suggestions of papers or books I could read by Engels? I am really interested in his idea of materialism!

Well.. that fan-comic is actually based on a single character of a book series. It's named the Sight of Clement Davies David. Different characters have similarities with human ideas and actions. Slavka is a not-so-bad villain that in the end she's used by the main villain and finally joined the pack of the protagonists.
And i'm used to do parody and self-parodies..
You can try to read the Communist Manifesto (co-written by Engels and Marx) but you could try to read The Capital (that it's more difficult and basically a book of economy more then philosophy)
Other interesting works of Engels are The Condition of the Working Class in England and Socialism: Utopian and Scientific but also The Origin of the Family, Private Property, and the State

I have read much of the Communist Manifesto, but I have more of a liking for a philosophy which can be tested and proven. I have been talking through the mail with a man that shares the philosophy of Marx and Engles (I think he shares more similarities with Engles than with Marx). This man actually fought in the Spanish Civil War, and was later in a concentration camp. He is now 96 years old, and still involved in his philosophy, although he publishes many fewer works than he should be. I have a scan of one I reccomend: He sent it through the mail to me, and it is an original copy from the heyday of his work. It is not intended for the public to see, as it was part of a private lecture done at the Cajal University. The cover title sounds complicated but the report is a short compilation of his work in materialism, and a bizarre type of philosophy very similar to Marxism and that of Engels.
A common argument that is used against communism is that, as an idea, it is perfect, but we never have any success with it because of human nature. I agree with this argument: I think that the reason it has never worked is because we, as people, cannot follow a perfect idea without some form of greed. My friend, which I have been in contact with over the summer, believes that he has found the way to factor in human error, and create a type of communism that works. He was actually funded in his research by the United States Air Force, the Army, and most medical universities in both the States and in Spain. Reading The Communist Manifesto was fine, but it seems to take only the first step, and doesnt take into account human nature.
This scientist/philosopher was an advocate of a civilized future, where everyone was made equal. He thought that, eventually, they could be genetically commissioned to be absloutely equal in every possible way, so that there would be no religion to separate the people, no cultural differences, no class warfare.

If you ever get a chance to read this, can you tell me what you think?
