This is a new D&D character I am creating for 5e. She is a Tiger-Taur Cleric (Still deciding on Class for sure) who is quite peaceful and loving, but will fight for those she cares for. She carries a Halberd as a weapon for its long range and has a Pseudodragon for a familiar.

Very true, thanks. The familiar isn't required, but would be nice. Still trying to nail down her class. Thinking some kind of cleric, but not sure which Order. Also not even 100% sure about Cleric lol.
