So because 3 out of our 4 flights back from South Africa in March 2020 were cancelled we weren't able to get straight up refunds, instead we could only get vouchers for the amount we were owed. Unfortunatly it's almost been a year since we got those vouchers and they were due to expire in the next couple of weeks so we had to use them now or loose 'the money' altogether. So my father booked us a holiday as far in advance as possible, which is April next year and settled on Turkey! He's already been to Istanbul (not Constantinople now) so instead we will be visiting the the southern coast of Turkey, specifically Side (yes, that's actually it's name) in the region of Antalya.
Hopefully by then travel will be a bit more feasible, but if not we can rebook the holiday yet again. (Still would like to go abroad at least once this year to continue my streak of going abroad every year of my life; even if it's just to Ireland!)
