Yes, Korgar keeps kittens in his desk. 36 of them to be exact, all crammed into the numerous drawers. Do not question Korgar!!
*Shameless Plug Time* The logo you see in the upper-left corner of this week's update will be appearing on all my future comics. It is the logo for Hodgepodge Comics, a newly-launched independent publishing label of which I am a founding member. This is the means through which I will be publishing a collection of Peter & Company strips and artwork, along with every issue/volume of the Chronicles of Ademar (once they are complete). If you want more information, keep an eye on the soon-to-be-complete Hodgpodge Comics site.

HAHA Yes, yes indeed. I actually have recordings of myself doing the voice of Korgar. I'm debating on uploading them onto my website, since some of them are pretty freaking hilarious.
I've found myself randomly making observations of my own mundane everyday activities in Korgar's voice. It's really entertaining, especially when I have company over.

Oh, wow.
This strip was great, Mr Ponikvar. Yawg is pleased also. I'm really glad the larger format is working well for you, as I enjoy reading the full page comics, as opposed to the strips. It allows for a better joke, at the very least.
I was actually going to ask what was going on with Chronicles of Ademar, seeing as I haven't seen you upload anything from that series lately.... how goes the comic? Do you have a tentative release date? Because that's something I'd look for at the next con I go to...

Thanks so much, Yawg. :) Glad you liked the comic! I'm very happy with the larger format, too. I could see this allowing me to finally tell all the longer stories that I've always tried to tell with P&C.
As for Ademar, the pages you saw published a while back were held onto as test samples of the ink wash style. The characters have since gone through a redesign -- they're now a human-like race (which is why I've been drawing so many humans lately) -- check the "test cover" submission in my gallery here for a preview of how they look. The story has been changed a bit (and made a WHOLE lot darker and mature), and I'll ultimately be redrawing the opening pages to the book.
I also anticipate the human redesign of Lily and Buckley to freak out a lot of my regular readers (especially people from this site who have already read all 8 opening pages from last summer), so I'd just like to confirm that I AM keeping the animal characters for shorter side comics (slipped into the back of each issue/collection), and the animal versions will remain available for commission requests. I just have always felt that the cartoony animal characters felt out-of-place with the epic universe that I wanted to portray with Ademar, and I finally got comfortable and confident enough with my "human" style to push it into use.
With Hodgepodge Comics on its beginning breaths, I will say that you have a better chance of seeing the opening scene of Ademar in a "Hodgepodge Anthology" book at a con this summer. The actual first issue for Ademar I would put as a tentative release of late summer 2007 (so say, August or September), with a quarterly release schedule after that. At the ABSOLUTE LATEST (and I pray this doesn't happen), expect the first issue on sale in time for the holidays.

That's also true... and as sad as it is to say, the whole "OMG FURRIEZ" public fear of the fandom would probably hurt the sales of the book more than help it... although I will say in complete honesty that that had NOTHING to do with my decision to change them to humans.
In actuality, Ademar was always a story in my head that I felt SHOULD be told with humans, but my inability to draw anything non-furry forced me to settle with keeping them as animals. In the end the most common critique I got on those first 8 pages was how the cartoon animal characters completely clashed with the ominous, violent setting. It wasn't an "edge" in the style, it was a conflict, and it didn't sit right with a good 80% of the people who saw it.
So after last summer, it was basically a wake-up call for me... I forced myself to improve my human style to the point where I was comfortable enough to start experimenting with the Ademar characters, and I'm VERY happy with the results. Heck, wait until you see what Links and Rechts look like (their original "furry" versions can be found in the older submissions in this gallery). I can promise to everyone that it will be 100% worth it. :)
