I love it - you have no idea what the circumstances are for any of these people; that, and there's a "Great Recession" going on, with unemployment hovering around 10% and underemployment probably ranging near 25% (actually, my instincts were correct, its closer to 50%!!! - and underemployed means not employed according to one's skills and experience, like a PhD working at McDonalds.) There's also the fact that people aren't counted as unemployed if they aren't collecting unemployment, or aren't activity looking for work because they gave up.


Perhaps you should consider not judging people until you know their situations. I personally would not post anything begging for money because people (like you!) just misjudge and don't give enough of a sh*t about their fellow furries, humans, Americans, neighbors, etc. to take the time to understand things or otherwise just assume, or because they, like you, project their own views and perspectives onto other people instead of taking the time to understand and have a little empathy. Despite not going online to beg, I can assure you that my situation is more dire than most. I haven't worked in 8 years, and still am not on disability despite the reality of my condition keeping me from working.

Try taking some time to understand people's situations. If you can't do that, then at least ignore things. And if you can't do that, maybe you should consider just deleting your account so that we don't have to read about you whining and being a tad bit of a hypocrite.

I think this is directed at people who are spending all their money on "fun" things, then realize too late OH NO I NEED FOOD AND RENT AHHHHHH, not at people who actually have dire situations.

If it specifically said who it was addressed to, I wouldn't take offense. But it did not. So I take offense because it makes a gross and incorrect assumption about people.

If this person wanted to offer advice to people who need it, it should have been presented as such, and directed specifically at such people.

Well yeah, she DOES say who she is talking about. She says she understands some people are in financial situations beyond their control. But she also says many of these furries begging for money or complaining about their situations could be HELPED by making and sticking to a budget.
