Norfolk Southern GP38-2 #5333 lays over with empty "bottle" cars at Calumet Yard on the Indiana Harbor Belt, in East Chicago, Indiana.

The "bottle" cars are lined with brick, and specifically designed to carry molten steel from mill to mill. NS runs this train daily for ArcelorMittal Steel, from their mill in Riverdale, Illinois, to a finishing mill in East Chicago. The gondola cars between the "bottles" help keep the intense heat away from the locomotive, and lessen the likelihood of the molten steel spilling out.
