Binturong (lat.Arctictis binturong) - is a mammal of the viverrid family of the order of carnivores, the only species of the monotypic genus binturonga (lat.Arctictis). Due to the external similarity, it was previously ranked among the raccoon family, but in fact it is a species of viverrids, peculiar in its shape. Often tourists call them "cat bears" because of the external similarity of the body structure with felines and the manner of movement on the ground, like a bear.
