Asgard, 2013. Grey, Alpha, Feifei and Freddy Lupin arrived to Thor’s home to get the Reality Stone from inside Jane Foster’s body. Shortly after, they reunited with the present Thor and Rocket Raccoon. The three wolves and the werepoodle followed Rocket to where Jane Foster was, while Thor had a loving reencounter with his mother, Frigga. Just as they were about to enter, Grey told his companions to hide.
“Since we’re wolves, I don’t think our welcome will be friendly. But I have an idea. Luckily, Mami the Gypsy Rabbit gave me some magic potions. Listen, drink them, and you will become goats. When you do so, go in there, and distract Jane. Then, Rocket will take advantage of the distraction and take the Aether out from her.”
“Wait, I’ll transform into a goat? No way!” Freddy said. “First a human, then a poodle, and now a goat? How can I do that?”
“Please, Freddy, you must do it. For Batty.”
“Ugh, fine! I just hope I look cute enough as a goat to distract Jane.”
“Actually, I know who is perfect for that job.” Grey said.
He turned to look at Feifei.
“Me?” she asked.
“Yes, Feifei! Just look at yourself. You’re such a cutie!” Grey said.
“I am? Oh, I mean… Yes, I am!”
“So you will lead the distraction. Freddy, you go with her. I and Alpha will stay here in case something happens. Now, drink the potions.”
Freddy and Feifei drank the potions and transformed into pygmy goats. Then, they entered the room Jane Foster was in and jumped onto her bed, bleating cutely.
“Awww, where did you come from, little guys?” Jane asked.
The bleats called the attention of two Asgardian maidens.
“Oh, they must be a couple of our Asgardian baby goats!” one of them said.
“If you want, you can play with them, dear!” the other said.
Jane Foster began to pet Feifei, and she wagged her tail happily.
“Oh, I can’t resist!” Freddy said in his mind. “This looks so calming!”
He approached Jane and let himself be petted, too.
While Jane was distracted, Rocket sneakily approached from behind and nailed the syringe-like device inside Jane Foster’s body, extracting the Aether. Feifei and Freddy ran away, and so did Rocket, who was being chased by some Asgardian guards. In the corridor, Grey and Alpha were watching if Dark Elves approached. Luckily, none appeared. But when they saw Rocket, Freddy and Feifei running away with the Aether, they followed them.
“You know, becoming a goat wasn’t so bad. Those caresses felt good!” Freddy said.
“See, I told you!” Grey said. “Now, drink this. It will turn you back to normal.”
Feifei and Freddy drank the antidote and became wolves again. But before they could leave with the Reality Stone in their hands, they had to wait for Thor, who after saying goodbye to his mother, decided to summon his hammer, Mjolnir, from that year. After the hammer landed in his hand, Thor, Rocket, Grey, Feifei, Alpha and Freddy returned to the Avengers Headquarters.
Morag, 2014. Robyn, Mebh, Gabu, Older White Fang, Young White Fang and Nava arrived to the planet. Shortly after, they reunited with Clint, Natasha, War Machine and Nebula. The two WolfWalkers and Gabu decided to stay in Morag with Rhodey and Nebula and search for the Power Stone, while both White Fangs and Nava, along with Clint and Nat, headed in the Milano toward Vormir, where the Soul Stone was located. Gabu, Robyn and Mebh decided to hide behind a rock and wait for Peter Quill to show up and guide them to the temple where the Orb was. However, Nebula gave Rhodey a warning. They weren’t the only ones looking for the stones in 2014. Thanos the Mad Titan, and his daughters Gamora and Nebula, all of them from that year, were also searching for the Power Stone. After a while, Star Lord appeared, dancing like a child alone in his room and heading for the temple. Robyn wasted no time, and without being noticed, set a wolf trap in Quill’s way. Once he got to the temple, the naive leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy fell straight on the trap, and while being immobilized, Mebh approached him and, using her WolfWalker magic powers, made him fall asleep.
“Nice work, Mebh!” Robyn said.
“Same to you, huntress!” Mebh said.
“Come on, girls! Into the temple!” Gabu said to them.
At the end of a dark corridor, the Orb was waiting for them.
“There it is! The key to bring Mei, and everyone else, back!” Gabu said, and quickly ran toward it.
“Gabu, wait!” Mebh said.
She and Robyn followed him. As soon as he tried to lay his paws on the Orb, he got them burnt by the laser cell that was protecting it.
“Owowowowow!” he yelled.
“What were you thinking, Gabu?” Robyn said.
Then, she carefully inserted her crossbow through the lasers, and once it touched the orb, she quickly withdrew it, taking the Orb out. Robyn’s crossbow ended badly burnt.
“You did it, Robyn!” Mebh said. “But… your crossbow.”
“Don’t worry. I can make a new one at home.” Robyn said.
Then, she handed the Orb to War Machine and Nebula, and she, Mebh and Gabu prepared to leave with them. However, only Rhodey left with the wolves and the Power Stone, because Nebula dropped in pain. She had a connection with Nebula from 2014, who was still evil, and that gave her position to Thanos from 2014. Before the present Nebula could warn the wolves and the Avengers about this, she was captured. Once she was inside his ship, Thanos examined Nebula’s memory and found out she came from the future. He also found out that she would betray him and join the Avengers. But not just that. Thanos learned that in the future, he would achieve his goal of getting rid of half the universe and bringing balance to the universe. However, he would soon be attacked and killed by the Avengers. Thanos would not tolerate those heroes trying to stop him. So he decided to use the present Nebula’s time travelling devices to travel to the present, along with his ship, Gamora from 2014 and Nebula from 2014, who was given a second chance to prove she would not be a traitor and disguised herself as the present Nebula to infiltrate the Avengers Headquarters and let her father in.
Meanwhile, at Vormir, both White Fangs, Nava, Clint and Nat climbed a very tall mountain until they found a dark, ghostly apparition. It was Red Skull, who long ago had been banished by the Tesseract to that place and forced to become the guardian of the Soul Stone. Surprisingly, he knew their full names and their parents’ names. When he was asked where the Stone was, Red Skull guided them toward a very high cliff. He explained them that in order to get the Soul Stone, they had to lose who they loved the most… forever. A soul for a soul. While Clint and Nat had an emotional discussion about who would be sacrificed, why and for who, both White Fangs talked to each other about this. Since the older White Fang couldn’t speak, he did it in his mind. After all, the younger White Fang could comprehend him somehow.
“Kid… you must live.” The older one said. “You have a mate that loves you, five beautiful children, a caring owner living in a wooden cabin… You have it all! That’s why you must let me die.”
“But, White Fang.” The younger one said. “Your mother needs you! And look at me. I’m just a boy.”
“No, kid. Your fighting skills are as great as mine. Oh, wait. We are the same wolf, so we have the same fighting skills. Besides, my mother doesn’t live with me anymore. I’m a lone wolf, literally.”
“But you love her, don’t you? I loved my mom, too. And yes, I know we have the same mom. I was separated from her when I was still a pup, and I don’t know her whereabouts. But you, apparently, can visit her anytime! You must see her again, White Fang. Sacrifice me, and get the Stone.”
“Well, I guess there is no other way to settle this…”
Both White Fangs began to fight fiercely to decide who would throw himself off the cliff. Clint and Nat were fighting, too. Watching both fights, Nava knew what to do. His four friends had to see again their loved ones. Besides, he had already decided who would take his place in the wolf pack.
“My work here is done…” he said, quietly.
He slowly walked toward the edge of the cliff, while both pairs were still fighting, and once there, with a mournful howl, he expired, vanishing into thin air. Both White Fangs, Clint and Nat stopped their fight only to watch the mystic wind that was once Nava slowly rising toward the sky. Lightning stroke, lights turned out, and the four heroes woke up in the middle of a great puddle, with the Soul Stone between them. They had no other option than to return to the Avengers Headquarters.
