Letting go of Brushtration
I've always had a love for...artists.
There's nothing that touches my heart quite like seeing the work of someone expressing an idea in their heads, or a feeling in their hearts.
Because in a way each and every work out there is special to me. It's like a conversation with a part of someone they may never have known, or a voice they may never have realized they had.
I have a love for so many artists out there young and old, beginning or wisened by years of experience.
I know some of us get discouraged in some ways over that last part. That feeling that we are not experienced enough. That we are not capable enough to express ourselves in that way we want to.
But I tell you with the honesty of a friend, you could just be starting out for the first time with a pencil and a piece of paper, and my heart would swell with pride all the same as seeing a complete painting hung on a gallery's wall.
I'm not sure how far along you've come but if you've already begun, I just want to tell you that I'm proud of you for walking this path. For sharing your thoughts and feelings with us.
For adding something just a little more to this world in a way that only you could.
The road may not always be easy, and the room for doubt may come more often than not...but we have so much to see together in each other, and more to explore. For in the end this will be our pursuit of art.
Our pursuit of expression over perfection. And I love your expression just for the way it is right now.
