Back in December 2020, I started doing character design practice as a way for me to shake out of an art block and to warm up to doing commissions. Eventually my mind went to doing a tactical rpg ala Shining Force, Fire Emblem, Final Fantasy Tactics etc, with furry characters.

I'd like to try and make it some day, but for the time being, here are the character designs I've been making on the weekends for fun!

When I was originally sketching out concepts, I threw in my DnD characet Folly of Embers in as a little joke. They fit the general aesthetic I wanted to go for. But seeing as they were conntected to DnD, I figured I should take the concept of that character and seperate it from the DnD material should I ever make it into a game.

So here we have a very stoic/sullen badger. A pitfighter turned street doctor once his hands turned magical one day in a fight. As a vagabond street doctor, he doesn't earn much coin, but its work that many appreciate. Outside of using his body, due to working as a farmhand to earn coin, he's gotten very adept at using pitchforks and other unusual farming tools as weapons, should he need to defend a farm from bandits.

I liked the idea of having a comically serious character, his expression doesn't change much but he has a heart of gold.
