Pre corruption Shizzlap or just called Lap by some, drawn by

Trained in the arts of hand to hand Lap was an amazing fighter. He learned the ways of the fist from many masters in martial arts all hired and sought out by the king of the kingdom he was trained to fight for. Growing up from birth his life was a grueling one but it payed off as it forged him to be a perfect soldier in both mind and body. But for Lap he didn't find fighting to be the do all end all, he became good friends with the others who were trained for the same reason.
To kill an old god.
But such a task would prove to be difficult, that was to the reason their training to that point had to be as punishing and as difficult as it was. Each group had over 100 students, there was the cleric group, for healers and support based mages. The mage group was for those gifted in the arcane, for more offensive spells to deal with a threat should it arise. The more physical focused groups were the soldiers for heavily armoured warriors to take priority and the more dexterous archers and rogues as more physical backline. Lap was the martial artist monks, set to be the in between frontline fighters. But with over 100 students per group only a select few succeeded, most died or were too injured to keep going.
Because of this, the group were the best they could be out of their predecessors and classmates. Lap as well as his fellow party members lacked much of a childhood because of this, but that did not stop them from traversing out to the world for the one goal they had set for them. But deep in the back of Lap's mind, even if he didn't show it, had a creeping sense of dread that he could never shake.
The terrible feeling he felt only worsened the closer the party got towards the holding place of the ancient and old god, locked deep below the earth. Just outside the entrance Lap almost got a vision of horrible things to come as they entered and he saw the stairs descending deep into the depths of the darkness. He took a deep breath to calm his nerves before he took a step back, he wasn't going to head down there, the feeling that he wouldn't come back alive or worse was strong. The other members urged him to move, it was their duty, their whole lives led up to this moment, it was something that needed to be done. But Lap refused, he took another step back, closer to the exit of this stairway to certain doom. The other members looked at each other before the knight brandished his weapon, if Lap wasn't going to do his duty as the kings chosen, then he would either be forced or killed. The others looked at each other before nodding to themselves, each reading their respective weapons and moving towards Lap.
Lap tried to plead and reason with his party but they didn't have the eyes of people who would listen, they looked devoid of free will, only one goal fueling their minds. Maybe its because of Laps monastic training that made it so he had more free will then the others, a mind that thought more of the now then the future. Going in that hole meant death and his gut was greatly telling him that. The others like drones lunged towards Lap, but he was able to quickly dodge the knight as he swung at him. All arrows fired by the rogue and ranger were swiftly deflected out of the air and any form of explosive spell from the mage was deftly evaded. None of the buffs the cleric applied meant anything to Lap as they couldn't hit him, and with a small opening in their attacks Lap dashed out of the seal with great speed. Using all his strength Lap grapped the stone Disc and moved it back in front of the seal, trapping his Ex party inside. He had a feeling they would escape, and if they didn't the king would send people after him. Something told him the king would have sent spies to watch them, just incase they tried to run like he did.
Lap was on the run, branded a traitor and deserter to the kingdom, with a greatly changed fate.
But he was alive, and very much himself.
