- UTO - Handsome, Not cute! - Part 2
He was finally ready to leave yet really didn't want to go. After all this was 'his' weekend to waste laying about enjoying peace and quiet. But he'd give up one to Shara just because he knew how close she was to her own family. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad. Her family was expecting him likely perpared to Shara's standard of safety.
Eric also hated that they had to drive everywhere, this usally in America in normal but being such a smaller scale to everything in the universe makes it suck. His sit was literally a cup holder with a glued in seat and safety belt. But this is what he had to put up with for just today or two at most anyhow.
"You comfy yet?" Shara was sarcastic towards him just to annory him a little more.
His tired eyes blinked quickly as he told a very long swig of coffee. "Yes, Completely."
He himself could be sarcastic too, Hell, humanity pracital invented it out of boredom. The huge car they both sat in wasn't a flying one but much better then any earth car. Shara had modeled it's bodywork from his own car he had with the mustange's own beauty very rebelous from all the modern. It hummed aposed to roaring as she drove onto her parents' house. Eric used is holo watch to find a good radio station. A few were just strange or flat out static but his ears finally found the rock n' roll station. Seemed some band had made a very great song about that invasion and for Eric kick ass compared to a lot of favoites then.
Even Shara bookmarked the song somehow but Eric kept on listening singing it's lyics for fun as their car ride was slow. Her car finally got to those familar streets as she couldn't wait to see her parents. It had been far too long since last time.
"We're close I take it?" Erice spoke up as Shara broke out of her thoughts.
"Yeah, sorry, just can't wait to hug my parents again." She was excited for this day.
"I know how you feel, That's all I wanted to do once we removed the invaders." He was a little take back by how long he was gone from home but knew he wasn't too far. That was comforting for his emotions.
She turned into the old driveway that laid next to her parents' house. The old brick and white siding still stood frim even after so much time. It had a lovely porch, a second story and it's many well planned windows made it a picture perfect home for a family. Yet nothing.
Shara unbuckle herself seeing Eric was far ahead of her. This was the day he'd meet her family and maybe in the not so far future she'd meet his someday. She gulped nervously on what worst case sanicos might happen, each just as unlikely as war but still caused some derd. Her Charge was much better at telling facial expression noticing her own fear.
"Hey, You nervous of seeing your own parents?" He tried joking to ease her out of those crazy ideas. His own thoughts and fears would just about to hold him back but he'd promised after all. Shara's nervous smirk made him smile and the two laughted at their own pointless panic.
Her hand came down as Eric climbed on sitting carefully in her palm. She walked slowly as he observed their surroundings. Each step brought her closer to that old dark blue door as a sudden flicker of the curtains. His fast head and eyes focused saw that sudden movent. Her surprise had nearly ruined itself yet she couldn't expect his reaction.
After all Shara knew he'd enjoy this but still had droughts. She raised her other hand knocking...
